    We've built a a rig that is light enough to be transported in a small trailer, can be set up in 1 hour and rides on standard dolly track.  We carry a 100' belt, but longer belts are easily attained for your custom long run!  We can also accommodate curved track.

    A point to point shot with ease in and out takes about 10 minutes to set up.  Time will vary on complex moves.  We have a system to lift the rig on one section of dolly track to wheel into new position and drop, saving hours of time on set.

     

    Realizing that "perfect" motion control for major motion pictures requires a large heavy rig, transported by a semi, we've opted for the next best thing.  We strive for the most precise movement using today's medium weight cameras at reasonably fast speeds.  Depending on the move, very rapid phantom shots can easily be attained, with quick pans, tilts and dolly moves.

     

    Our rig will hold a full size Alexa, but if the moves are quick, we recommend the Alexa Mini, or similar sized cameras.  We use our Canon C300 mk II (EF Mount) in house which has the benefit of using image stabilized lenses for long lens shots.

     

    For extreme movement, a large rig may be needed.  We found that most shots are well suited to our rig, with the ease of use, transport and quick response time on set being the determining factors.  We will let you know the limits ahead of time, as we consider your success to be our own.

     

    The advent of many small motion control rigs in the market may work in some situations, but their promises fall far short in many cases.  They have their place.  But a real rig eliminates the scrapping of shots, or even rigs, during real world set ups.
